SWITCHING ON OF DIWALI LIGHTS - FRIDAY-14th OCTOBER 2011
The festival of Diwali Lights were switched on last Friday 14th October by the Deputy Mayor of Derby, Councillor Frank Leeming at 7.00pm. After the switch on, there was a colourful cultural programme by Shakti Arts, Surtal Arts and South Indian Classical Dance Group. A sumptuous vegetarian meal was served to all the guests to close off this lovely day.
